Chriz Naing is a multicultural filmmaker - shaped by his upbringing in Burma, Australia and America. He is also a music composer with a passion for the colors of sound. He graduated from New York University Film & TV.
Zayar is his first film as director. It won Best Student Film at the 2016 Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival (World Premiere). His notable work as a film editor, Mutt (directed by Chloe Aktas) was nominated at the Oscars for the Student Academy Awards.
His other work as a film editor and colorist has been showcased at Oscar-qualifying Film Festivals - Tribeca Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival, HollyShorts Film Festival, LA Shorts Fest, Austin Film Festival, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Seattle International Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, San Joe International Film Festival, Edmonton International Film Festival, RiverRun International Film Festival, Cleveland International Film Festival and Seoul International Extreme Short Image and Film Festival.
